Robbie Gringras' unique brand of Jewish physical story theatre is acclaimed all over the world.
His West End reputation for "simply superb telling of classic tales" (Time Out) reaches as far as Hong Kong ("an inspired performance" S. China Morning Post), and together with top Israeli musician Adam Mader, he has now played all over Israel in both Hebrew and English ("virtuoso performance" Jerusalem Post). |

The Show
All they require is a bare stage, a chair for the musician, and an audience: the stories do the rest. One acrobatic storyteller and one multi-instrumented musician set audiences glowing through an inimitable combination of live music, words, and physicality. Robbie and Adam perform eight stories in an evening, all of them called The Gift. Delving into the idea of giving and generosity, these ancient midrashim and Jewish folk tales are guaranteed to set the heart a-fluttering, the soul a-souring, and the lips a-laughing!
Robbie is also adept at presenting an evening of stories on any theme. Favourites have been: Stories of Peace; Stories of Shabbat (presented as part of a Friday night meal); Stories of Tikkun; Stories of Love

"With his passionate, inspired storytelling, he brings the great Chassidic tradition to life more vividly than anyone I've seen since the late Shlomo Carlebach" (Jewish Chronicle UK)
"Virtuoso performance of physical story theatre... emanates an atmosphere of humor and warmth" (Jerusalem Post)
This show lasts up to an hour and can be performed to audiences of up to 500. Without a musician, 200 would be the maximum audience.
